The Storyteller's Journey
Desire’s journey from storyteller to publishing visionary began in childhood. She was a passionate reader of storybooks and a deeply imaginative child who spent hours creating imaginary families and worlds from stones and paper, bringing characters to life through play long before she began writing them down.
Her love for writing began at the age of fourteen, when she started putting her ideas into words and discovering the power of her own voice. Growing up with stories that shaped her identity, she came to understand the transformative power of seeing oneself reflected in literature.
A Vision Born
Her belief in publishing as a tool for African youth empowerment drove her to create opportunities where few existed. She understands that representation in literature builds confidence, strengthens identity, and nurtures aspiration in young minds.
Desire launched MVisionaries Leading Publishers in 2023 after spending 15 years in the banking industry. She stepped away to pursue her passion. What began as a dream became the foundation of something far greater — a movement that is making history by publishing young authors while they are still in primary school.
The Journey to the Beginning
For Desire, this work is deeply personal. In every young author, she sees a reflection of her younger self — a passionate storyteller who did not know that publishing was possible at that age. She understands what it means to have the imagination but not the information, the talent but not the access.
The Young Authors Project is more than an initiative. It is a calling. It is a journey back to the beginning — creating opportunities she once wished existed, and ensuring that African children know their voices matter now, not someday. Through this work, she believes she is walking in her purpose, building a future where young African stories are written, published, and celebrated globally.

Mahlogonolo Mogosoane
Mahlogonolo is a visionary entrepreneur with over 11 years of experience in the banking industry, where he served as a Team Leader overseeing multiple teams across various departments. During this time, he developed a strong ability to lead, motivate, and drive high-performing teams.
He later transitioned into the ehailing sector, where he has spent more than five years driving and managing fleets. This journey strengthened his entrepreneurial skills and deepened his practical understanding of business operations and leadership.
Mahlogonolo firmly believes that every individual carries unique ideas capable of transforming the world, or at the very least, making it better. His passion lies in empowering people to unlock their potential and turn their ideas into meaningful opportunities.
Through his work in innovation coaching, customer service excellence, and leadership development, he has supported numerous individuals in becoming self-employed and successful business owners.
At MVisionaries Leading, his mission is to unlock human potential, drive innovation, and inspire entrepreneurship that creates lasting community impact. He is particularly passionate about literacy development and nurturing young authors, as he believes no one understands children’s stories better than the children themselves.
He envisions this initiative growing into a movement that attracts sponsors who are willing to invest in children’s literacy, purchase books for donation to schools, and help create spaces where young voices are seen, heard, and inspired to pursue their dreams.
